Brian Nishida joins PNG Cyber as Director of Digital Forensic Incident Response

PNG Cyber, LLC is pleased to announce that Mr. Brian Nishida has joined the firm as Director of Digital Forensic Incident Response (DFIR).

Brian has over 25 years of experience in digital forensics and law enforcement. He has extensive experience leading incident response engagements with clients, including multiple facets such as forensic investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and data-at-risk identification For the past five years, he has assisted clients in numerous matters relating to ransomware attacks, business email compromises, cyber espionage, compromise or theft of statutorily protected information and intellectual property, mobile device forensics, and more.

Brian has served clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and leading financial institutions to companies in the energy, retail, hospitality, banking, government, and telecommunications industries.

Prior to joining PNG Cyber, Brian worked at CrowdStrike as a Principal Consultant, where he led incident response engagements, developed and deployed new methods to actively hunt across large datasets, and performed host and network-based forensics. Previously, he served as an Associate Managing Director at Kroll, where he led a DFIR team, led incident response efforts, and led engagements.

Brian began his career as a Special Agent/Digital Forensic Examiner with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He investigated cybercrimes, financial crimes, violent crimes, and narcotics. He also served as Acting Director of the New Mexico Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory and was a member of the FBI Computer Analysis Response Team (CART).
